Art For Abortion Access: Recap (August 2022)

In light of the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, we wanted to take action to support reproductive justice, so we put on our signature ‘pick your price’ art sale where original art donated by local artists was available, with 100% of the money going to The Brigid Alliance, a major funder of abortion care for anyone who needs it.

We held this event on Vee Vee’s beautiful back patio. It was a hot afternoon, but people came out in force and we raised $13,000 in about three hours’ time. One of our most successful events.

The Brigid Alliance is a referral-based service that provides people seeking abortions with travel, food, lodging, child care and other logistical support. For more information:

Major thanks to Ginny Zanger and Gail Bos of the JP Artists Association for marshaling an array of great artists to contribute to this urgent and important cause. Make a Donation (GoFundME)

Art For All 3: Recap (May 2022)

We were glad to be back at Aeronaut Brewery for Art For All 3, a celebration of community and art in Somerville. At this unique art sale, you decide how much to pay for original art donated by generous local artists. We have so much local talent in the area’; the range and quality of the art donated this year was simply stunning.

What’s more, together we raised over $6,500 in one afternoon, 100% of which goes directly to La Colaborativa.

La Colaborativa is a trusted partner to Massachusetts’ Latinx immigrant community. Based in Chelsea, La Colaborativa supports youth and adult members through food, housing, jobs, English classes, citizenship pathways, and community organizing.

Art For All 2: Recap (November 2019)

The combination of art, beer, and immigration justice led to a truly incredible day at Aeronaut Brewery. So many friends joined us and our artist-partners to celebrate inclusion and raise money for The Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network (BIJAN). With hundreds of original works donated by local artists, there was truly something for everyone.

We raised $12,000 at this event, 100% of which went directly to help some of our most vulnerable neighbors in immigration prison. Within days of the event, BIJAN had posted bond for three people who were able to reunite with their families. It was truly a great day – one that was made possible through the empathy and effort of all involved.

We’re so grateful for the support of Boston For All. Their fundraising work allowed us to offer immigration bond support for members of our community at a time when the money was very needed. We were able to use the funds raised at Art for All and Dining for a Difference to get several folks out of immigration jail and back home with their families within weeks of these fundraising events.”

Boston For All was great to work with as well — they covered every detail of the planning, allowing us to give input as needed but handling all of the logistics themselves. Thank you so much for the hard work that went into these fundraisers!”

— Rose Gallogly, The Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network (BIJAN)

Art For All: Recap (June 2019)

Art-for-All-2019.jpg

Art For All was a part of Boston For All Week (2019) and it was a huge success! Over the course of the week, we raised over $20,000 in support of three fantastic organizations:

  • The Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network (BIJAN) – providing legal representation and advocacy to immigrants in Boston facing detention and deportation.
  • Redes en Acción Venezuela – a local organization helping Venezuelan refugees settling in the Boston area.
  • Komera – an international organization promoting personal empowerment and education for girls in Rwanda.

Boston For All gave visibility to the struggle of Venezuelans relocating in Boston in the midst of the largest migration crisis in the Americas. Their fundraising and visibility support to the work that Redes en Acción Venezuela does, has allowed our volunteer-run organization to prepare the launch of a stronger networking program where recent immigrants and their receiving communities can interact and exchange information to expedite their access to information, opportunities and easier integration into their receiving communities. We could not be more thankful to their volunteers and their phenomenal mission.”

— Cristina Aguilera, Redes en Acción co-founder

We were honored to work with City Councilor Matt O’Malley, State Representative Nika Elugardo, and community partners to host a week-long festival of inclusion and generosity on June 9-15, 2019.

Our friends at the Jamaica Plain Artists’ Association co-hosted the event, and local artists donated a wide array of paintings, works on paper (framed and unframed), collages, sculptures, and ceramics – with 100% of the proceeds going toward BIJAN’s incredible work to support our most vulnerable neighbors! Thank you so much to our generous sponsors of Boston For All Week, without whom we wouldn’t be able to do this work!

Boston For All has made it easy for us at KIND to connect with people in the community and raise the funds we need to help vulnerable children. Their creative and fun events – including local restaurant weeks and a fun fair for the whole community – have been awesome to attend and a huge help to our work.”

Boston For All is comprised entirely of friends and neighbors concerned about the direction that the current politics of our time has taken our country. We came together after digesting the results of the 2016 presidential election seeking to find some way to answer the question, “What can I do to help my nation be what I believe it should be?”

With our fundamental question in mind, we decided that we would work for inclusion of all people in our community and our nation through raising money for worthy causes. It is our mission to make giving fun and simple – just show up at one of our events, enjoy some great times with others in your community, and open yourself up to possibility and inspiration.

We do not keep any money that we raise during our events. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors and volunteers, we have very minimal expenses to cover. After that, it’s all profits directly to the good people preserving the dignity of our nation through their hard work!

Boston For All: Free Community Events

All our events are completely free and open to anyone who wants to come.
We don’t ask you to do anything but be a part of your community and give whatever you’d like.”
